Upcoming Work:
Final Striping and Markings on various roadways.
Due to the current weather conditions, portions of this project are being put into winter suspension: Graham Hill Rd, East Zayante Rd, Upper Zayante Rd.
When the weather becomes more favorable we will complete the remaining portions of work on these streets.
The County of Santa Cruz Is Planning Work On Your Streets
As part of the county’s pavement maintenance program,
AMERICAN PAVEMENT SYSTEMS and its subcontractors will be performing work that includes resurfacing the existing pavement.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
TIMING
Hours of construction will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Road closures may be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
-Pavement Repair
-Pavement Resurfacing- Asphalt Rubber Chip Seal, Slurry Seal
-New pavement striping and markings
SAFETY
-A flagman and other workers will be directing traffic to ensure the safe passage of residents and for the safety of the workers. Expect some delays and choose alternative routes, if possible.
-Your street may be closed to through traffic during the resurfacing process.
-Please drive slowly while traveling through the work area.
SIGNAGE
- At least 48 hours prior to the work commencing “No Parking” signs will be placed.
-These signs will have specific dates and times that all parking on the street will be restricted.
PARKING, GARBAGE, WATERING LAWNS AND OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS:
-Any cars parked within the posted “No Parking” areas on the days listed will be towed.
-Park off the street or in some other convenient area
-You may park in your driveway, just not on the street between the signs during the hours of construction.
-Do not drive on the surface treatment until streets have been reopened to traffic or directed by the flagger.
-Garbage pick up will not be affected. Please place your trash bins on top of the curb.
-Do not water your lawn on the days listed on the “No Parking” sign or the night before the work.
-Oil used in these surface treatments will stain carpets, floors and other surfaces. Simple dish soap and water will clean the area if caught before the oil has had time to dry. Citrus solvent cleaner will work if oil has dried.
